Detailed Process and Materials for Braille Signage Production
Braille signboards need to balance tactile clarity, durability and compliance. The core design adopts a combination of "compatible base material + standard braille", with a streamlined production process and rigorous craftsmanship.

Material selection centers on practicality and durability: base materials are preferably aluminum plates, stainless steel plates (for outdoor scenarios) or acrylic plates (for indoor hotel and public areas), which are resistant to corrosion and less prone to deformation; Braille dots are made of dedicated Braille adhesive particles (ABS material) or directly carved, ensuring the raised height meets the GB/T 10001.9 standard (2.5-3.0mm); surface coatings use environmentally friendly and wear-resistant baking varnish, with high-contrast color schemes (such as black background with white characters, yellow background with black characters) selected to balance visual and tactile recognition.
The production process is divided into four steps: 1. Design and layout: precisely arrange according to the Braille dot position rules (6-dot matrix per character), reserve sufficient touch space, and avoid dense protrusions; 2. Base material processing: after cutting into shape, grind the edges (to prevent scratches), and perform rust removal or polishing on the surface; 3. Braille formation: use the adhesive type (fix the glue particles by high temperature and pressure) or engraving type (laser/mechanical engraving protrusions), ensuring the protrusions are smooth and free of burrs; 4. Finished product processing: spray paint the identification text and patterns, cover with a wear-resistant protective film, and after tactile inspection and compliance verification, the product is ready for shipment.
